LOVE ONES OF COMPTON [LOOC] is a nonprofit public benefit charity that works to consistently promote local opportunities to help a person/people that one loves. LOOC especially performs community outreach for all persons living, working, and visiting the city of Compton California.
LOVE ONES OF COMPTON is in place to accomplish positive work in memory of those tragically killed and lost to criminal activity related to violence, drugs, careless driving, and immoral sex. The LOOC Founder, Gary and Rita Belfrey, have endured and experienced the loss of young lives destroyed by lost souls.

Title 1 of the United States of America Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, Public Law 93-383, as amended; 42 U.S.C. 5301 et seq, was made law to develop viable urban communities such as Compton to help provide decent housing and a suitable living environment, and by expanding economic opportunities, principally for low- and moderate-income persons. LOVE ONES OF COMPTON is carrying out this Federal ambitious effort for the people of Compton California.
The US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awards grants to entitlement community grantees [Compton] to carry out a wide range of community development activities directed toward revitalizing neighborhoods, economic development, and providing improved community facilities and services. LOVE ONES OF COMPTON is delivering its own current programs to help those underserved community residents. The city managers benefit from partnering with LOOC as our community work activities are a priority and more feasible to meet and benefit low- and moderate-income love ones of Compton.
LOVE ONES OF COMPTON activities serve to prevent and/or eliminate the emerging slums and blight. Additionally, LOOC is prepared to account for community development activities that are urgent, such as unlawful street takeovers, because existing conditions pose a serious and immediate threat to the health or welfare of the community, where other financial resources are not available to meet such needs.
LOVE ONES OF COMPTON humbly epitomize the national objectives set forth by the United States of America Housing and Community Development Act of 1974. LOOC projects help to improve the quality of life for people with low or moderate incomes, work to encourage development to revitalize Compton’s urban centers, and consistently address the urgent health and safety needs of low-income residents of all ages and ethnicities.
LOVE ONES OF COMPTON activities are transparent that provide a clear explanation of the proposed program, clearly outlining LOOC’s responsibilities; including enough detail to capture all important information ensuring compliance with Municipal Ordinances and requirements. In doing so the Compton City Managers can open cooperative and non-elaborate or forbidding CDBG funding applications from local nonprofit organizations. LOOC seeks opportunities to receive funding applicable to Federal Regulations to reach mutual objectives of community improvements.
